Functional IT Analyst (SNS01224)

Job Description

As a functional analyst, you will work intensively on the realization of various business/IT projects. You are the link between the demand process (business requirements & project definition) and the delivery process (development & realization of IT tools and functionalities). In this way, you are at the cradle of the realization of IT tools with which you realize added value for customers and business stakeholders.

• You will work together with domain architects and product owners to better understand business requirements and processes and translate them into functional components and functional analyses. You are going to convert features into a story mapping so that you bring structure and make an overview of the total number of stories.
• You provide an iterative elaboration, refinement and description of the functionalities to be built. You work out stories in detail and do this in a clear way, understandable for both the business and the technical team.
• You are part of the project team and follow the development of the application closely. You work one sprint prior to the development teams so that your input can flow through to the development. After development, you can validate the functionalities through testing and checking.
• You work closely with the various players in a project team such as product owners, project managers, architects, software engineers, UX designers, etc.
  
  

PROFILE

• You have a natural aptitude to work at a detailed level without losing the overview.
• Identifying, understanding and documenting processes and structures is your passion and you have a solid baggage of techniques for this or are willing to learn them. (User story mapping, User story writing, UML, BPMN, Wireframing, Domain modelling, etc,). Of course, you have the knowledge to gather the information needed to arrive at the most optimal solution through various ways of communicating with both the business and the IT team.
• You have a critical mind and dare to test the added value of requested adjustments or expansions in business and IT.
• The necessary dose of creativity and innovation is also present.
• You have knowledge of or experience with agile methodologies, values and principles.
• You are punctual and able to organize your work independently.
• You are a real team player! You are part of a small team and have a hands-on and proactive attitude towards your team and the business.
• Preferably, in addition to a fluent knowledge of Dutch, you also have a command of the English and French languages.
