Job Description

  • Within the Special Units Directorate, the focus has always been on integrating technology and making it easily accessible to the various members of the unit as part of their missions.
  • Due to the highly specialized nature of the missions entrusted to the unit, it has chosen to implement its own software solutions.
  • Over time, some foreign partners have shown interest in DSU solutions.
  • This finally gave rise to the desire to set up a software ecosystem allowing operational communication at the European level You will be integrated into the development team of the ICT Corporate department and together with the other developers, your role will be to participate in the development of this project.

Responsibilty

  • Analyze needs and formulate technical solutions to meet them (UML diagrams, Wireframes, …)
  • Develop native Android and/or IOS applications with a strong focus on real-time communication (text, voice, video) coupled with a microservice-oriented backend architecture according to the architect’s and analysts’ recommendations
  • Ensure their distribution on mobile devices (smartphones, tablets or others)
  • Version and document the source code of the various projects
  • Provide support to colleagues in the department as well as to end users
  • Meet deadlines

Profile Description

  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science and have good experience in a similar position
  • You have excellent knowledge of Android development
  • You are proficient in the use of services, the transmission of information in real time (text, voice and video) as well as the use of user notifications.
  • You have already worked on the development of mission-critical applications that must offer a high level of availability regardless of network conditions and possibly involve the use of local information storage.
  • You can integrate Bluetooth accessories or wired connections and thus the use of the various physical buttons of the device through the applications.
  • You master the concepts of OpenID authentication or at least the concepts of authentication via JWT tokens applied to mobile developments
  • You are familiar with the implementation of biometric authentication
  • You are proficient in CI/CD concepts and are comfortable with the Git versioning tool
  • You are used to working according to agile principles and the SCRUM methodology
  • You have a good command of technical English, a knowledge of the second national language is an added value
