Cloud Consultant

For one of our banking clients in the Netherlands is seeking a highly skilled Azure Specialist to strengthen its cloud infrastructure team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based solutions, with a particular emphasis on Bicep templates, virtual network (VNET) configurations, and operational models. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a secure, scalable, and efficient cloud environment that supports the bank’s digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, manage, and optimize Bicep templates for seamless Azure resource deployment.
• Cloud Networking: Design, implement, and maintain Azure VNET configurations, including peering, private endpoints, and subnet strategies.
• Operational Model Implementation: Define and optimize cloud operational models, ensuring governance, security, and best practices within a regulated banking environment.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop automation strategies using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and DevOps pipelines to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations, aligning cloud infrastructure with security frameworks and risk management protocols.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including security, compliance, and DevOps, to deliver robust cloud solutions.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring tools, conduct root cause analysis, and optimize cloud infrastructure performance.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience in Azure cloud infrastructure with expertise in Bicep templates and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking concepts, including VNETs, subnets, firewalls, private links, and hybrid connectivity.
• Experience in operational models within cloud environments, ensuring efficiency and security in large-scale enterprise settings.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Ansible.
• Familiarity with banking and financial sector regulations related to cloud computing and cybersecurity.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in Azure environments.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Network Engineer, or Azure DevOps Engineer) are preferred.
