We are seeking a skilled PHP Backend Developer with extensive experience in Drupal 7 development. If you’re passionate about backend technologies and eager to contribute to large-scale web solutions, this is your opportunity to work remotely with a global team while being based in Gdynia, Poland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust backend solutions using PHP and Drupal 7.
- Plan, execute, and manage projects, including upgrading legacy systems to Drupal 7.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver user-centric solutions.
- Optimize website performance and ensure high availability and scalability of backend systems.
- Write clean, secure, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues promptly.
- Perform regular testing and debugging to ensure smooth functionality post-migration.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in PHP, Drupal, and web development technologies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in PHP development for at least 5 years with a focus on backend technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Drupal 7 development for at least 3 years, theming, and module customization.
- Strong expertise in migration projects, including migrating content, data, and custom modules to Drupal 7.
- Familiarity with PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony, Laravel) is a plus.
- Proficiency in relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with APIs and web services (e.g., REST, JSON).
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Solid understanding of web security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Ubercart Knowledge – Hands-on experience in setting up and managing Ubercart for eCommerce.
- Experience with Drupal 7.
- Knowledge of Bash command and Bash scripting, Apache and NGINX configuration.
- Familiarity with Redis.
- Experience with tools like Drush and Composer for managing Drupal installations.
- Knowledge of cloud-based hosting platforms and CI/CD pipelines.
- Background in working within Agile development teams.
