UI designer

We are searching for a UI designer for the OpenUI Platform

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw and you will join our Omnichannel department. The OpenUI Platform team participates in the development of online and mobile banking solutions across all business areas in BEC such as investment, pension, housing and daily finances. The UX Design unit in OpenUI Platform team is part of the Omnichannel domain focusing on new business initiatives e.g. Digital Bank 2.0 with eight agile teams that develop online and mobile banking solutions for the banks (both for bank clients & advisors).

The UI designer role offers working closely with our UX Designers to fulfill the needs of the financial institutions for both visually pleasing and user-friendly solutions across channels. You are the key person in the field between development teams, BEC customers aka banks, end users and UX Designer colleagues in the UX Design unit. At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Sebastian Gos.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• You continuously maintain and further develop our design system in Figma and Storybook to fit both native and web development needs
• You ensure the design meets accessibility (WCAG AA) requirements and design guidelines
• You listen, argue, create Hi-Fi design, present, test and document design solutions
• You support UX’ers in user tests, collect insights and feedback and preparing recommendations
• Actively participates in design reviews - both alone and together with other UX’ers
  
  
  

To succeed you will have:

• 3 + years of experience in a similar role
• Mastering Figma or a similar design tool
• You have experience with Hi-Fi prototypes and web development
• You have experience creating & maintaining Design Systems
• Experience with maintaining a library in Figma is a plus
• You have experience working with accessibility (WCAG AA)
• You have experience working with Google Material Design (v2 or v3)
• You have experience designing cross-platform solutions (web, iOS, Android)

• You have an analytical mindset and profile - driven by understanding complex requirements and translating them into simple design solutions
• You are well-organized, independent and have the courage to run your own projects

• You are good at finding the good compromise between development time and good design – for a multi-platform application
