Product Manager – Wallet

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead and enhance our digital wallet offering. This role will oversee end-to-end wallet management, including payment gateway (PG) integrations, routing optimization, peer-to-peer (P2P) transfers, and the development of additional features such as UAE’s instant payment AANI and other core wallet functionalities. The ideal candidate will have a strong fintech background, a deep understanding of digital payment systems, and a passion for delivering a seamless, user-centric wallet experience.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap:

• Define and execute the product roadmap for the digital wallet, aligning with overall business objectives and market trends.
• Prioritize features and enhancements, including PG integrations, routing optimization, P2P capabilities, Aani, and other core wallet functionalities.

Feature Development & Integration:

• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of wallet features, from ideation and requirements gathering to development, testing, and launch.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to integrate multiple payment gateways and optimize transaction routing for cost-effectiveness and reliability.
• Manage the development and improvement of P2P transfer features, ensuring high performance and security.

User Experience & Market Research:

• Work closely with design and user research teams to deliver an intuitive and engaging wallet interface.
• Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive products to identify new opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with stakeholders across technology, marketing, compliance, and operations to ensure the wallet product meets regulatory standards and delivers on performance goals.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all wallet-related initiatives, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the wallet product and monitor performance using analytics tools.
• Leverage data insights to drive iterative improvements, optimize transaction success rates, and enhance user engagement.

Compliance & Security:

• Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure all wallet features, especially those related to PG integrations and P2P transactions, adhere to local and international regulations.
• Ensure robust security measures are integrated into wallet functionalities to protect user data and prevent fraud.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
• 3-5 years of product management experience in fintech, with a proven track record of managing digital wallets or payment platforms.
• Demonstrated experience with payment gateway integrations, transaction routing, and P2P payment solutions.
• Experience with developing or managing additional wallet features (such as Aani) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of digital payment ecosystems, API integrations, and fintech security protocols.
• Proficient in data analytics and using insights to drive product decisions.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Aha!).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a user-centric approach to product design.
