Creative Designer

Maldives and Seychelles and have recently extended this expertise to UAE and South Africa.

The ideal candidate will be eager and enthusiastic, offer exciting and original ideas and concepts with an exceptional awareness of 360 design across multiple platforms including print and digital. With several years’ experience working across the luxury travel / luxury landscape, the candidate will bring energy and creativity to help Pure Escapes stay at the forefront of what luxury travel trade means globally.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for design and who can work creatively within the visual aesthetic of the Pure Escapes brand. They should have the ability to deliver high-quality, eye-catching creative work in a fast-paced environment, and be articulate, self-motivated and able to manage their workload effectively. An interest in all things travel is advantageous, alongside an impressive portfolio of print and digital projects.

The Team

The Senior Designer will be part of the Marketing team, supporting and reporting to the Director of Marketing based in the UK, as well as liaising daily with the Marketing, Sales and wider parts of the business where necessary. As the marketing team are globally remote, they will be flexible and agile, working well on their own initiative while actively engaging and being part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Marketing team to develop top-level creative on brand design solutions.
• Work with the wider marketing team to create innovative marketing campaigns and manage the creative direction templates, and production of all channel elements
• Design and create various assets (presentations, brochures, invitations, print, digital materials) for teams
• Design layouts for front of book (FOB), features and supplements for our annual printed publication.
• Generate additional campaign materials throughout the year.
• Maintain our luxury brand standards as ‘brand guardian’ across all print and digital properties including the printed magazine, website, social platforms, videos and newsletters in collaboration with the digital team.
• Lead design projects
• Work collaboratively with our current designer and video editor to meet all design deadlines.
• Manage end-to-end development for their lead projects and tasks with the Director of Marketing.
• Have strong relations with key external partners e.g. printers, merchandise, designers, editors, animators.

Skills Required

• Significant experience (minimum 6 years) working across the omni-channel platforms,
• Previous experience in luxury industries
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as Microsoft Office 265 Suite and Google Suite. Knowledge of other design tools is a plus.
• Strong experience with HTML for e-newsletter coding
• Creative thinker, looking to always elevate the output with a good eye for luxury print and digital design.
• The ability to be flexible and multitask within varying timelines, both same-day and with a long-lead turnaround, on multiple projects.
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Attention to detail and impeccable communication skills.
• Able to work remotely and stay collaborative throughout.
