A Program Manager leading an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) project should have a strong blend of technical, strategic, and leadership skills, with experience spanning IT, operations, and business transformation. Below is a breakdown of the key qualifications and experience needed:
- The resource should possess EAM domain knowledge and have experience working with multiple technologies such as SAP and Oracle.
- The resource must have strong program management skills.
- The resource should have at least 10 years of experience.
1. Core Experience Areas
A. Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Expertise
- Deep understanding of EAM principles: Asset lifecycle management, predictive maintenance, reliability engineering, and work order management.
- Experience with EAM software: IBM Maximo, SAP EAM, Infor EAM, Oracle EAM, or other industry-leading platforms.
- Familiarity with industry standards: best practices in Energy industries.
B. Program and Project Management
- Proven track record in managing large-scale EAM implementations or modernization projects across multiple sites or business units.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project management methodologies.
- Ability to align EAM strategy with business goals to drive value creation.
- Experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong background in risk management and mitigation strategies.
C. Industry Knowledge
- Sector experience in energy, utilities, or other asset-heavy industries.
- Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) and IT convergence in asset management.
- Awareness of regulatory compliance requirements relevant to asset management in the industry.
2. Technical and Business Skills
A. Digital Transformation & Data Analytics
- Experience with AI-driven predictive maintenance and IoT-based asset tracking.
- Familiarity with Digital Twins and their role in EAM.
- Understanding of integration with ERP.
B. Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Strong experience in change management methodologies to drive EAM adoption.
- Ability to engage with executives, Med Management and Engineer stakeholders.
- Skilled in training, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement initiatives.
C. Leadership & Communication
- Strong leadership skills to motivate cross-functional teams and drive consensus.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business language for decision-makers.
- Expertise in developing executive reports and presentations for senior leadership.
3. Qualifications & Certifications
A. Preferred Educational Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
B. Recommended Certifications
- Program/Project Management: such as PGMP/PMP, PRINCE2.
- Asset Management Domain Certificate
- IT & Digital Transformation: ITIL, TOGAF, Six Sigma (for process optimization).

- Experience in aligning EAM projects with Organization goals.
