Do you have strong coding skills, but also a sharp business mind that understands the value of what you’re building?

If so, our client, a leading financial services provider, wants to hear from you...

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a high-calibre Data Scientist who is ambitious, authentic, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative and supportive team. Your Role & Impact

As a Data Scientist, you’ll be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying predictive and prescriptive models using advanced statistical, mathematical, and machine learning techniques.

Day-to-day you’ll:

  • Collaborate with teams across Protection, Distribution, and Product to deliver commercially aligned pricing models.
  • Automate analytical processes and models, leveraging both structured and unstructured data to drive efficiency and growth.
  • Clean, process, and model data to support decision-making and improve data-driven insights across the business.

Key Requirements:

You will be an ambitious data-driven professional who balances technical expertise with a strong commercial mindset. You should be passionate about using data to drive business success and capable of communicating insights in a clear, outcome-focused way. Key skills and experience include:

  • Strong machine learning proficiency, including data structures, algorithms, and predictive modelling techniques.
  • Deep understanding of model evaluation metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, RMSE, etc.).
  • Experience applying ML algorithms (decision trees, neural networks, SVMs, etc.) and selecting optimal learning procedures.
  • Solid mathematical knowledge, including probability, statistics, regression, and stochastic processes.
  • Strong programming skills (Python, R, SQL, or equivalent) with experience in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of retail pricing models, price elasticity, and commercial pricing strategies.
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful, actionable insights that drive business growth.
  • Knowledge of data protection and GDPR, ensuring compliance in all analytics processes.
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities to enhance data culture and strategy.
  • Commercially aware, with a creative mindset for solving business challenges.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • A strong communicator who can translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights.

Why This Role?

This is more than just a technical role—it’s an opportunity to make a real business impact.

An excellent package is on offer including competitive basic salary, bonus and benefits including medical, 25 days holiday, 3 volunteering days, enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave, employee assistance and wellbeing programmes.

This is a hybrid role where you can expect to visit the office once a week (typically a Thursday) to spend valuable face time with your team.

If you’re a highly skilled Data Scientist who is eager to drive commercial value through analytics and innovation, then apply today and take the next step in your career!
