For one of our clients at Randstad Digital, we are looking for an experienced Python Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing in-house software solutions. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to refine user requirements and functional specifications. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring junior developers and ensuring code quality through reviews and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Consult with stakeholders and document user requirements and functional specifications.
• Translate requirements into software architecture (with support from a senior developer or architect).
• Develop scalable, high-performance, and reliable software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Mentor and coach junior developers.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold best practices and coding standards.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the industry.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of work experience as a Python Developer.
• Proven experience in developing Python applications.
• In-depth knowledge of threading, multi-processing, and asynchronous programming.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with various Python web frameworks (such as FastAPI, Flask, etc.).
• Experience with test automation (Pytest).
• Knowledge of Apache Airflow.
• Experience with message bus technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ), caching systems (Redis), and databases (Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, S3, etc.).
• Experience with DevOps (Jenkins, OpenShift), Docker containers, and version control (Git, GitLab).
• Basic understanding of network architectures and their impact on software design.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry (such as pharmaceutical or financial sectors) is a plus.
