Senior Sportsbook Trading Performance Manager

BettingJobs are seeking a Senior Sportsbook Trading Performance Manager for an established iGaming company in their Riga office.

The Trading Performance Manager will be responsible for analysing the performance and profitability of multiple sportsbook brands. Identifying areas for improvement and working across internal business units and third-party suppliers to ensure the delivery of a market-leading product.

This role would be ideally suited to an experienced sports trading professional with excellent analytical skills and a proven track record improving sportsbook performance.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously assess and refine trading strategies to maximise profitability and efficiency.
• Develop, implement, and distribute statistical reports analysing trading P&L performance.
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly sportsbook performance, ensuring revenue and margin targets are met.
• Analyse key performance indicators such as margin, hold percentages, and turnover, offering data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain a trading margin matrix, breaking it down into components to optimise margin performance.
• Use data-driven storytelling and visualisation techniques to present insights to key sportsbook stakeholders.
• Work with senior management to align trading strategies with market trends and business objectives.
• Identify and implement innovative tools, automation processes, and emerging technologies to enhance trading operations.
• Develop strategies to mitigate large exposures, ensuring a balanced risk profile for the sportsbook.
• Oversee the creation and improvement of dashboards, trading models, and algorithmic tools.
• Work closely with product, technology, and data teams to ensure trading strategies align with product development.
• Assess and manage third-party data feeds, odds comparisons, and trading tools, ensuring they align with business needs.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in driving sportsbook trading performance, with deep knowledge of betting markets, odds compilation, and pricing models.
• Familiarity with advanced risk management concepts (Monte Carlo simulations, backtesting, maximum drawdown) to evaluate exposure across sports trading assets.
• Experience with trading systems, data analytics tools, and algorithmic trading platforms. SQL and Power BI proficiency for data extraction and manipulation is desirable.
• Strong capabilities in Excel, including Pivot Tables, data visualisation, and preferably VBA for automating recurring operational processes.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets, extract insights, and communicate findings through engaging presentations.
• A strategic mindset that questions conventional methods and promotes creative solutions in trading best practices.
• Willingness to work across multiple time zones, ensuring alignment with internal teams, service providers, and operators.
