DevOps Engineer

As we expand into Lithuania, we are looking for skilled DevOps to join our team and help drive innovation

in cloud infrastructure, automation, and system reliability.

Role Overview:

As a DevOps Engineer at Yam Software Development, you will be at the forefront of driving our

infrastructure and deployment processes to new heights. Your responsibilities will encompass a

wide range of tasks, from scaling and growth initiatives to providing crucial support for our

software engineers. We are seeking an individual with a strong background in DevOps practices,

AWS, and a proven ability to enhance and optimize deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Scaling & Growth:** Take ownership of AWS, ELK, databases, deployments, Kubernetes

clusters, and more.

- **Developer Support:** Collaborate with software engineers, offering guidance

and assistance while applying your expertise.

- **Process Improvement:** Collaborate with fellow engineers to identify and address

shortcomings in infrastructure and deployment processes.

- **Monitoring and Alerting:** Strengthen alerting systems, identify potential threats, and

advocate solutions for enhanced security and reliability.

- **Development:** Expand infrastructure products and software automation using

Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

- **Collaboration:** Work independently and with others, stay proactive, and communicate

openly.

Base Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience with DevOps practices.

- Proficiency in AWS Amazon and experience with IaC tools, specifically Terraform.

- Proven expertise with Kubernetes and Docker (EKS, GKE, kops, k3s).

- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Travis, etc.).

- Familiarity with Helm and Helm chart customization.

- Implementation experience with GitOps tools like ArgoCD/FluxCD and a strong understanding

of modern Git flow.

- Knowledge of logging systems (ELK, EFK, Loki/Promtail).

- Proficiency in modern monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana).

- Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.).

- Solid experience with Bash/Python scripting.

- Excellent Linux/UNIX skills and experience with running high-available applications.

- Problem-solving mindset and ability to stay adaptive in dynamic situations.
