Cybersecurity Solution Architect

A leading company in the industrial manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support ongoing cybersecurity projects within its SOC and IAM teams. This is a highly technical architecture role, focusing on solution design, documentation, and stakeholder approvals.

Position: Cybersecurity Solution Architect
Location: Remote
Contract Duration: 4 months (possibility of extension)
Start Date: May 1, 2025
Workload: 80-100%

Key Responsibilities

• SOC Security Architecture:
• Design log ingestion pipelines and integrate cyber defense tools.
• Define security automation workflows on SOAR platforms (Swimlane).
• Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) evaluations for SAP security monitoring with Azure Sentinel (SIEM).
• Work with MISP (Threat Intelligence Platform) for threat correlation.

• IAM Security Architecture:
• Develop and enhance Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions (CyberArk).
• Contribute to Microsoft Entra ID hardening and Web Application Firewall (WAF) security strategies.
• Design automation workflows for IAM security improvements.

• Solution Design & Documentation:
• Create low-level architectural designs for implementation by engineers.
• Present solution designs for stakeholder approval.
• Work closely with SOC (5-10 members) and IAM team engineers to ensure security implementations align with best practices.

Requirements

• 5-7 years in cybersecurity solution architecture.
• Strong ability to design and document low-level security architectures

• Technical Knowledge:
• SIEM platforms: Azure Sentinel preferred.
• SOAR platforms: Swimlane or similar.
• Threat Intelligence: MISP.
• PAM Solutions: CyberArk.
• IAM Security: Entra ID hardening, WAF security strategies.

• Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
• CISSP
• Microsoft SC-100 (Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect)
