Company Overview: Dialectic, a crypto-native organization of builders and capital advisors, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) or Head of Operations with a senior financial services and fund operation experience to join the firm. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing team focused on investing in and building compelling software in emerging crypto and blockchain technologies.

Job Summary: Dialectic acts as an advisor to multiple liquid crypto funds specializing in DeFi yield strategies, as well as venture activity focused on the crypto space. Additionally, Dialectic stewards 1OF1, a prominent digital art collection, and is incubating Makina, an on-chain asset management protocol.

As we scale both in team size and in focus, we are seeking an experienced operations executive to help us level-up our team and processes to ultimately drive more value to the bottom line.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the specification and optimization of client-facing processes, including onboarding, offboarding, communications, and reporting.
• Support fund operations, particularly the integration of the investment team’s activities with finance, accounting and investor relations.
• Take ownership of and drive special projects that enhance various aspects of the business, such as evaluating structured products (structured debt with Swiss banks) to optimize fund structure and returns or assessing Dialectic’s eligibility for government grants supporting technology startups.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, ensuring they perform at their highest potential in a cohesive manner.
• Ensure our internal CRM platform is optimized for the relevant business processes (e.g. deal-leads, fundraising, etc.).
• Collaborate closely with the Finance team to refine and enhance processes related to NAV finalization for each fund.
  
  

This role is ideal for a dynamic executive with a strong operations background at crypto-native companies and some experience in either finance or investment roles at a high-quality firm.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in operational roles, preferably spanning both crypto-native companies and investment fund management.
• Proven management and people development skills.
• Strong project management and methodical problem solving skills.
• Understanding corporate finance and/or M&A activities.
• The ability to manage high-value relationships with key external stakeholders.
• Passion for blockchain and crypto technologies and their potential to drive meaningful impact for individuals, institutions, and the broader world.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a capacity for independent and flexible thinking.
• Ability to work in an autonomously, methodical and detail-oriented manner. A high level of precision is required in order to succeed in this role.
• Willingness to be co-located in Zug at least a majority of the time.
• Integrity, humility, intellectual curiosity, honesty and forthright communication. We are a team of open minded intellectuals that utilize a dialectical approach to arrive at what is true.

• Crypto-native level of industry knowledge and experience using DeFi protocols, block explorers, wallets and other relevant tooling.
• Educational background or equivalent work experience in finance or accounting.
