About the project, we need power for:

In cooperation with one of our clients, who is a financial technology company, we develop a secure and easy-to-use platform to connect companies, banks and individual users. The open banking API allows companies to access and analyze account data or even initiate payments on behalf of customers. The product also offer support to banks and financial service providers with an XS2A server, which delivers a PSD2-compliant banking interface for TPPs. The product helps to create innovative financial services that deliver real added value for the world.

We are looking for a Junior Java Developer who is an analytical thinker and enthusiastic about writing quality code and achieving high test coverage with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset and a collaborative attitude.

Besides this, your activities will include:

⏩ Development of backend functionality to support user stories.
⏩ Writing and maintaining unit tests and optionally integration tests to ensure code reliability.
⏩ Regularly conducting code reviews to uphold code quality and best practices.
⏩ Ensuring the availability and functionality of backend services (taking part in the role rotation as an alert manager with other backend developers).
⏩ Taking responsibility for our monitoring & alerting stack to maintain service reliability.
⏩ Continuously identifying and suggesting improvements to development processes and product features.
⏩ Effective collaboration with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders.
⏩ Understanding business processes within a regulated financial environment.
⏩ Embracing a DevOps culture within the engineering team to enhance efficiency and collaboration.

You shall bring:
✅ Experience with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Hibernate
✅ Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL, and Docker
✅ Solid understanding of REST services and tools like IntelliJ, JUnit
✅ Willingness to learn and pragmatic problem-solving skills
✅ Fluent in English

Nice to have:
✅ Previous experience in the financial services sector, ideally with PSD2 (XS2A) or FinTS/HBCI
✅ Experience with Kubernetes, Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins
✅ Familiarity of OpenAPI, Liquibase, and AWS Cloud Services
✅ Comfortable with collaboration Tools like JIRA and Confluence
✅ Monitoring & Alerting, any tooling
✅ Any knowledge in AWS
