Print Developer within IKEA Range Strategy & Identity

Job Description
As a Print Developer with senior experience, we expect you to lead, plan and prioritize the (operational) artwork development for the business and to be responsible for leading questions related to the artwork development and artwork management across IKEA.
Develop and optimize way of working for all artwork/print development. This, to create preconditions for wished business impact, aligned with the capability Artwork Management. (ex. Setting up portfolio/categories of artwork, valid input to digital solutions to create speed and efficiency, accuracy etc.)
Responsible to develop the Print Developers to right competence level in all aspects of the work.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the Artwork Management process (ex. Legal).
Responsible for developing and finalizing artworks from designers - for prototyping and production - for various projects and product types.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and share knowledge eg. In print development, prototyping, DPD/visualization, supporting the Product Development teams with great knowledge and optimized way of working to deliver to satification in the Product Development Process.
We also expect you to have deep knowledge in how to make production-ready artworks and colorways out of ideas and sketches from designers or studios.
The starting point can be a hand painted, unrepeated scan, an old, printed textile, an Illustrator sketch or a 15-layer Photoshop file with spot-channels and everything in between. You will adjust the artwork for various products and materials (e.g. textiles, paper, glass, etc.), you will change colors, repeat sizes, make the repeat flow and finalize it to be ready for production.
Qualifications
You have knowledge of and passion for home furnishing, product development, design as well as deep knowledge in production and materials.
You have extensive experience and deep technical knowledge in how to use applications and tools in print development. This means you know all about pattern repeats and what it takes to make them work all the way from sketching to finalized artworks. You also have extensive experience and knowledge of working in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Experience in NedGraphics software solutions or similar is qualifying.
Working as a Print Developer you have the ability to independently run multiple projects in a structured way from start to finish. This requires great ability in time management and problem-solving where you can keep calm. You draw from thoroughness, flexibility and creativity in how to do things in a smarter and more effective way.
You have a curious and open-minded personality and take pride in working with prints made by others.

- Bachelor/master in Textile print design, Graphic design, or equivalent knowledge and experience in design work.
- Deep knowledge in applications used in this area e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and NedGraphics software solutions or similar
- Extensive knowledge of printing production techniques for various products and materials.
- Are fluent in English, both spoken and written
