Connectivity Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Co-manage network, telecommunication and local hosting environment
  • Co-create logical network designs, physical layouts of network and hosting infrastructure
  • Co-create patching schedules of all wired & wireless network and on prem hybrid hosting equipment
  • Co-create and implementing of security policies on firewalls
  • Proactive monitoring for network status & capacity monitoring (based on big data)
  • Work with stakeholders to coordinate review and provide assurance of deliverables
  • Participate in IT infrastructure operations & escalations to ensure network, telecommunication & hosting availability and performance
  • Participate in IT infrastructure global & local projects coordination and execution
  • Work with network, telecommunication, hybrid hosting and data cabling providers on different levels of operational issues
  • Manage local IT Service Vendors/Partners

Job Requirements

Requirements (competences, Experience And Education)

  • At least 3 years of experience on similar position
  • Bachelor"s degree in information technology related field of study with a network / hosting engineering focus,
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (network and hosting) hardware,
  • Experience in IT technologies: Server, Virtualization (Hyper-V), Storage and Backup Solutions, Cloud Computing, Networks, Telecommunications,
  • Experience/Understanding of CISCO network (LAN, WLAN, WAN) infrastructure and SDN (Software Defined Network) - SD-WAN,
  • Experience with implementation or management network segregation (VLANs),
  • Experience with operation of data driven network
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITIL methodology), SNOW experience is a plus
  • Understanding of network security with security policy implementation (CISCO, Palo Alto)
  • Knowledge with network management/automation tools, such as DNA
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols,
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources,
  • Ability to create network and hosting diagrams and documentation, HLD, LLD and technical standards
  • Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions,
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate cross-functionally in global, matrixed environments comprising of internal and external partners,
  • A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment,
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, knowledge in budget and project management
  • CCNA certification is preferred and any other networking, server, firewall certificates will be a plus
  • Willingness to provide after hours support (on-call) if needed
  • Languages: English C1 Proficient; local language C1 Proficiency
