Network Security Engineer

*FREELANCE* Network Security Engineer - Brussels - 50% Remote

A client of Koda Staff's based in Brussels is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to join a very long term freelance project.

Main Responsibilities :

• Network Security Design & Implementation: Develop, deploy, and manage strategies to protect networks from cyber threats and unauthorized access, including configuring firewalls, VPNs, and other security devices.
• Network Monitoring & Management: Continuously monitor network performance, conduct security audits, and respond to incidents or vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve security issues, providing advanced technical support and collaborating with teams to resolve incidents.

Technical Experience :

• Strong proven experience as a Network Security Engineer
• Good knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls
• Experience with Algosec is a bonus

Bonus areas :

• Transport Sector Experience
• Experience handling overnight operations
• Algosec certifications

Languages :

• English and Dutch or French
