AI Researcher/Scientist – LLM Fine-Tuning & Optimisation

Join a cutting-edge FinTech company at the forefront of AI-driven financial solutions! We are looking for an AI Researcher/Scientist with deep expertise in pre- and post-training optimisation, fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs), and advanced model adaptation to join our Berlin-based team.

Your Role:

• Lead research and development efforts on fine-tuning, adapting, and optimising LLMs.
• Design and implement pre- and post-training strategies to enhance model efficiency, safety, and domain-specific performance.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of ML engineers, data scientists, and medical experts to develop AI models.
• Work on reinforcement learning (RLHF), prompt engineering, transfer learning, and multimodal AI approaches to improve generative models.
• Optimise inference speed, memory efficiency, and scalability for real-world deployment.

What We’re Looking For:

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related field.
• Strong background in LLMs, deep learning, and NLP (e.g., Transformers, GPT, BERT, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in fine-tuning, prompt tuning, and domain adaptation.
• Proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or Hugging Face’s ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of model evaluation, bias mitigation, and explainability techniques.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets, distributed training, and efficient inference techniques.
