Senior Android Developer

We are currently looking for a senior android mobile developer to work on projects for a financial institution in Luxembourg.

Missions

• Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements, ensuring seamless integration of backend and frontend components.
• Work alongside designers and product owners to create engaging and user-friendly mobile experiences.
• Actively participate in code reviews and technical discussions, advocating for best practices and high-quality code standards.
• Optimize application performance, ensuring scalability and maintainability of the codebase.
• Stay up to date with the latest Android trends, proactively suggesting improvements and new technologies to enhance the development process.

Profile

• Proven experience (min 5 years) developing and shipping Android Native mobile applications in an Agile environment
• Strong knowledge in Jetpack Compose, with an in-depth understanding of the differences between traditional UI (Legacy Views in XML) and the declarative Compose approach
• Excellent knowledge of modern Android components: Coroutines, Flow, LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation Component
• Good command of modern architectures such as MVVM and/or other models suited for Android development.
• Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns
• Experience with CI/CD tools and setting up unit/UI tests is appreciated.
• Familiarity with dependency management (Hilt/Dagger is a plus).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and data storage solutions.
• True team player as teamwork is at the heart of everything we do.
• Effective communication, capable of collaborating with developers, designers, and product managers.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal. (French is a plus).
