Based in the state-of-the-art Solothurn biologics drug substance manufacturing facility, the Manufacturing Sciences (MS) department provides key technical expertise and process analytics to the manufacturing operations at the site.

We are offering an Internship for 6-8 months to advance our real-time bioprocess monitoring & trending capabilities applying advanced data analytics and modelling.

In this role, you will be working in conjunction of data and process scientists on:

• Built and maintain automated data processing workflows in Statistica.
• Extending the advanced data analytics for process monitoring & trending.
• Apply statistics, multi-variate and mechanistic modeling principles to track, understand & describe bioprocesses.
• Visualize results in dashboards and verify model / analysis outputs against real-time bioprocess data.
• Document and present results in technical reports.
  
  

Qualifications

The suitable candidate should have:

• Knowledge of biotechnological principles behind biologics manufacturing incl. Process Analytical Technology (PAT)
• Strong mathematical and/or programming background.
• Experience in automated treatment and visualization of large data sets.
• Experience in programming Python. Experience with Statistica, Tableau and/or OSI PI is an asset.
• Subject of the MSc program in Natural Sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology or closely related field with strong mathematical or data sciences background.
