Junior Software Engineer

Albany Beck is an award-winning consultancy specialising in Technology, Risk and Compliance primarily within Financial Services across Europe. We work with top tier Investment Banks, Asset Management firms, Hedge Funds and FinTechs.

We are currently partnered with a Global Banking client of ours and looking to bring on a number of Junior Software Engineers, to work with them on an exciting AI flagship project, in Cracow.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of AI researchers, product managers, and engineers to develop and enhance the AI flagship product.
• Design, implement, and maintain software solutions using Java for backend development and React Native for mobile application development.
• Integrate AI models and algorithms into the application, ensuring seamless performance across platforms.
• Work on developing and optimizing APIs for AI-driven features in the application.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code while adhering to best practices and maintaining high code quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the robustness of AI components in the system.
• Contribute to the design of new features and improvements for the AI flagship product.
• Ensure software meets all performance, scalability, and security requirements for AI-powered applications.
• Continuously stay up-to-date with developments in AI, Java, and React Native technologies.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of professional experience in software development, particularly with Java and React Native.
• Strong proficiency in Java, with experience in backend development
• Experience with React Native
• Understanding of AI and machine learning concepts
• Familiarity with integrating APIs and working with AI-driven services or algorithms.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and debugging.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• A passion for emerging technologies and an eagerness to work on high-impact AI projects.
