We’re seeking a skilled Data Analyst to harness data insights that protect our online casino and sportsbook from fraudulent operations and drive operational success. Working with crypto transactions and soon-to-be-added fiat payments under an Anjouan license, you’ll analyze player behavior, payment patterns, and fraud trends while heavily assisting the acquisition and retention teams to boost player growth and loyalty in a flexible regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze player activity, betting patterns, and transaction data (crypto and fiat) to identify fraud risks (e.g., bonus abuse, multi-accounting, suspicious withdrawals).
- Provide data-driven insights to the acquisition team, identifying high-value player segments and optimizing onboarding funnels.
- Support the retention team with analyses of player engagement, churn risks, and campaign performance to enhance loyalty strategies.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as fraud rates, player acquisition costs, retention rates, and revenue.
- Collaborate with the Fraud & Compliance team (supporting a team of 4-5) to deliver insights for investigations and risk assessments.
- Monitor crypto blockchain transactions and fiat payment flows, flagging irregularities like wallet manipulation or chargebacks for further action.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to uncover trends in unregulated markets, supporting fraud prevention, acquisition, and retention efforts.
- Optimize data processes by identifying automation opportunities (e.g., fraud alerts, retention triggers).
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across platforms, adapting to the practical needs of an Anjouan-licensed operation.
- Present actionable insights to senior management, highlighting fraud risks and growth opportunities for acquisition and retention.
- Support integration of fiat payment data as the business expands beyond crypto.
Key Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in iGaming, fintech, or crypto industries.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R) and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Experience analyzing transactional or behavioral data to detect patterns and support business goals (e.g., fraud, acquisition, retention).
- Strong understanding of fraud-related metrics and player lifecycle analysis.
- Ability to work with large datasets and deliver insights under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to translate data findings into actionable recommendations for fraud, acquisition, and retention teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with iGaming fraud patterns (e.g., bonus abuse, match-fixing) or crypto transaction analysis (e.g., blockchain data).
- Experience with unregulated markets or offshore licensing (e.g., Anjouan, Curaçao).
- Knowledge of fiat payment systems and associated fraud risks (e.g., chargebacks).
- Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python for data workflows).
