Gen AI Engineer

Responsibilities

· Assist in the development and maintenance of the AI Lab’s global sandbox platform.

· Ensure the platform is effectively used for experimenting with AI applications.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform based on user feedback and technological advancements.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into the sandbox environment.

· Provide technical guidance and support to teams using the sandbox for AI product development.

· Conduct research and development (R&D) to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, Large Language Model frameworks.

· Provide technical guidance and support in the AI domain to teams under incubation that develop AI products.

· Analyse and interpret data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.

· Optimize and fine-tune AI models for performance, scalability, and accuracy.

· Assist in the technology aspects of the structured AI product incubation and acceleration program.

· Ensure AI Products and experiments are developed in alignment with Organization’s core risk, data protection, technology risk management policies, and regulations.

· Contribute to the implementation of rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards of AI solutions.

· To work on the delivery of high-quality AI products, continuous improvement, experimentation, and development of Organization’s AI expertise.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, AI, and business stakeholders, to integrate AI solutions into products and services.

· Work with external partners, including higher education institutions, start-ups, and hyperscale’s expert teams and government agencies.

· Contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the AI Lab.

· Mentor and guide junior engineers in AI and machine learning best practices

· Contribute to the development of AI talent through participation in education and training programs.

· Engage with the external AI ecosystem to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements.

· Represent organization at industry events and conferences to showcase the company’s AI capabilities.

Skills Requirement

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning, or a related field.

· Proven experience (5+ years) in developing and deploying AI models and algorithms.

· Strong technical background in data, AI, and modern cloud infrastructure.

· Good programming skills in languages such as Python, R.

· Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., LLM frameworks, Computer Vision, NLP frameworks, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

· Knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, model evaluation, MLOPs, LLMOps techniques

· Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

· Ability & Passion for innovation and a drive to position at the forefront of AI in the Insurance industry/domain
