The Group Procurement Lead plays a crucial role in bridging the responsibilities of a Procurement Specialist and a Procurement Manager. This role involves overseeing critical procurement activities while contributing to the strategic direction of the department. The Group Procurement Lead focuses on optimizing purchasing functions, managing key supplier relationships, driving cost-saving initiatives, and ensuring alignment with the company’s broader financial and operational goals.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the strategic planning and execution of procurement initiatives to enhance cost efficiency and operational performance.
• Drive a change in culture to prioritise cost efficiency.
• Oversee and manage procurement activities, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and quality standards.
• Assist in developing and monitoring KPIs to assess procurement performance and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Conduct market research to inform purchasing decisions and provide recommendations for supplier selection and negotiation strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure the fulfilment of contractual obligations and high performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate procurement strategies into overall business operations, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support external contract negotiation processes whilst seeking alignment with internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to the adoption of innovative procurement practices, including the implementation of new technologies and methodologies.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on procurement activities, process improvements, cost-saving measures, and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of managing key procurement activities and driving cost savings.
• Expert knowledge of procurement strategies, contract law, supplier management, and financial forecasting.
• Exceptional negotiation, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong analytical skills with a robust capability in KPI management.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English and Latvian; additional languages are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• High level of proficiency in procurement software and advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams (Manager role).

Salary:

€30,000 – €40,000 gross annually.
