Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our Infrastructure Team. The ideal candidate will

be responsible for network configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance with a focus on Access Points

(AP), Firewalls, VPN, and Switching/Routing. The role involves remote troubleshooting, configuration design,

governance, and patching, ensuring network security, stability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Infrastructure Management

· Configure and manage Access Points (APs), including troubleshooting, designing, and deploying new AP

setups.

· Handle firewall monitoring, governance, and management.

· Perform routing and switching operations to ensure network efficiency.

· Configure VPNs and tunneling requests, managing regular tickets.

· Support network performance monitoring, troubleshooting using SolarWinds NPM, NCM & VNQM.

Network Security & Compliance · Work with Cisco Umbrella, Cisco DNA Centre, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), and Cisco Stealthwatch to enhance network security and automation. · Ensure patching and compliance for firewalls and network devices. · Handle non-standard service requests and escalate critical issues. Vendor & Warranty Management · Log warranty calls with OEMs and coordinate for hardware replacement when necessary. Required Skills & Competencies: · Hands-on experience in Access Point configuration, troubleshooting, and deployment. · Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPN configuration, and tunneling. · Expertise in routing and switching (Cisco preferred). · Familiarity with SolarWinds, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA Centre, and Stealthwatch. · Ability to handle firewall governance and non-standard service requests. · Experience with remote troubleshooting and configuration designing. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach. Preferred Qualifications: · Certifications: CCNA, CCNP (preferred) · Experience in enterprise network environments or Data center Operations.
