I am partnering with a AI Driven Biotech startup based in the heart of Paris who are developing a generative AI Platform to discover new catalysts and molecules with the aim of disrupting carbon intensive industries.

After a successful round of funding, they are looking to expand the team with senior hires in different areas of the business.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Machine Learning (ML) Engineer, you will be responsible for transforming advanced ML algorithms from theoretical concepts and shifting into practical, scalable models within the company platform.

You will play a key role in the company's mission of discovery new catalysts as you will be responsible for:

• Support the team lead with specialized expertise in LLM engineering.
• Develop and maintain agentic services using LangGraph and LangChain to work with LLMs and AI agents.
• Collaborate within a team of three, contributing to both research and engineering efforts.
• Work on an IP landscaping project, analyzing research papers and patents to assess IP density in specific technologies.
• Structure insights from IP research into a strategic upselling framework for engaging large industries.
• Design, develop, and organize a LLM-powered agent for processing and structuring intellectual property data.
• Deploy open-source language models, implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) on-premise, and fine-tune models for specific use cases.
• Ensure efficient deployment and scaling of AI services, integrating CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud infrastructure (training available if needed)..

I am looking for candidates with the below background and skills:

• Ms Degree or higher in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science or related field with a focus on the latest Deep Learning (DL) advancements.
• Experience working on text data, including LLMs, fine-tuning, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in machine learning or a PhD in a relevant field.
• Exposure to research environments and ability to work with academic or technical papers
• Strong proficiency in PyTorch and LangChain / LangGraph for developing AI-driven applications.
