Android Developer

Our platform is growing fast, and we are on the lookout for a highly experienced Senior Android Developer to join our innovative team and help us build a best-in-class mobile app from the ground up.

As a Senior Android Developer, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling our Android platform, helping to shape the future of our mobile presence. This is a greenfield project, giving you the opportunity to have a direct and significant impact on the architecture, development, and direction of our Android application. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend developers, and product managers, to create a seamless and innovative mobile experience for our users.

What you will do

• Lead the development of the Android mobile application from the ground up, ensuring high-quality, scalable code and architecture.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define mobile app features and ensure seamless integration with the backend systems.
• Architect, implement, and deploy high-performance solutions that scale to meet growing user demand.
• Take ownership of the Android platform, from development and optimization to testing and deployment.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, helping to elevate the overall technical skills and standards of the team.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and Android best practices to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.

A bit about you

• Minimum of 5 years of professional Android development experience with a strong portfolio of shipping Android apps.
• Proven experience in building greenfield platforms from scratch.
• Expertise in Kotlin and Java, along with strong knowledge of Android SDK, APIs, and libraries.
• Solid understanding of mobile application architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with tools like Android Studio, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with modern mobile development frameworks, APIs, and third-party libraries.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A passion for clean, maintainable, and performant code.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience in scaling mobile applications for a rapidly growing user base.
• Previous exposure to e-commerce platforms or consumer-facing mobile apps.
• Knowledge of backend technologies and integration points with mobile applications.
• Experience with .NET is a plus, as it can be beneficial in understanding and integrating with the broader tech stack.
