We are looking for a talented and experienced Digital UX/UI Designer to join our software incubation and development team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating user stories, conducting user research, designing intuitive and engaging user interfaces and trialing them for maximized outcome and value. You will be part of a cross functional team, interacting and aligning your efforts with internal and external stakeholders, customers and end-users.
Working as an Experience Designer in Autoliv Incubation, you play a crucial role in making sure the product is desirable, but also to work closely with business and engineering to ensure viability and feasibility. Creating hypotheses and evaluating concepts with our customers/users is key to succeeding with developing world class life saving solutions and services.
As a member of an Agile Team, you are a professional with a "user centric & innovative" mindset, focusing on exploring and designing the solution or services in our digital initiative.

We are building strong autonomous teams with mixed competences and focus. Each team consists of 5-9 individuals including a Product Owner and a Scrum Master, dedicated to the solution they build. Each craft (role/skill) have a “craft lead” and Stefan Broo Pihlgren (LinkedIn) is leading the Design craft – guiding, developing and implementing tools and best practices globally within the specific craft. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BSc in relevant field [Design, business, engineering]
- Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role
- Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and process
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma or similar
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a “start-up” mindset
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of E2E perspective - incubation work and early design phases through MVP/MVS/MVT and finally launch of the solution
- Prototyping to evaluate user behaviors and needs, and iterate based in new insights
- Experience with agile methodologies (hypothesis, inspect & adapt)
- Ownership mentality by focusing on the big picture, as well as the day-to-day operations, to bridge the gap between users wants/needs and business opportunity
- User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback & insights and inform design decisions – from early phase until launch
- UI Design: Design and create low through mid-fi prototypes, appealing and user-friendly interfaces for desktop and web-applications including continuous developer hand-off
- Collaboration: Work closely with the agile team and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility, desirability and alignment with project goals
- User-Centered Design: Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices throughout the design process to create a competitive advantage of our solutions
- Staying updated on latest design trends: Finding ways to stay in the forefront of the latest tools, methods and related theory and practices around design trends
