DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:

Responsible for planning, consulting, technical analysis, design, deployment, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and daily support of middleware products.

Key Responsibilities:

Middleware Management:

• Design, deploy, and maintain middleware solutions.
• Provide technical support for middleware environments.

Project Contributions:

• Define migration strategies and build/deploy new environments.
• Migrate and re-platform applications as needed.

Application Publishing:

• Publish applications to the Internet/Intranet using tools like Azure Application Gateway and network proxies (e.g., F5).

Cloud and Network Integration:

• Leverage Azure IaaS and PaaS for solutions deployment.
• Implement and manage network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, etc.).

Operational Support:

• Support and troubleshoot applications/platforms, including .NET, SharePoint, IIS, Dynamics CRM, SQL Server, and Azure services.
• Monitor, upgrade, and resolve Tier 2/3 incidents.

Documentation and Training:

• Develop support guides and documentation for cross-training internal teams.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on monitoring, troubleshooting, and support processes.

Required Skills and Experience:

Technical Expertise:

• Experience with Azure IaaS, PaaS, and .NET application deployments.
• Proficiency in DNS, firewalls, IIS, SSL/TLS certificates, and PKI.
• Advanced scripting skills (PowerShell, Terraform).

Operational Proficiency:

• Strong troubleshooting skills in multi-platform environments.
• Experience managing ITIL processes (incident and change handling).
• Proven ability to restore infrastructure availability and ensure data integrity.

Migration and Automation:

• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automating migrations with scripting tools.
• Migration of .NET applications to Azure-based environments.

Infrastructure Security:

• Experience managing security policies with Azure Security Center.
• Proficient in OS/middleware patching and auditing system-level security events.

Development Practices:

• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps frameworks.
• Extensive experience with cross-platform integration.
