Vice President, IT Service Management Operations

Overseeing and managing the whole Asia-hub system maintenance, which mainly serves regional integration hub function and data warehouse function, within the organization. This role involves a variety of BAU IT tasks that ensure the smooth operations, security, and efficiency of the organization's applications.

Application Strategy and Governance

  • Define and oversee the strategic management of the Asia-hub system, ensuring it aligns with organizational goals and supports evolving operational requirements. Lead efforts to enhance system capabilities based on business needs


Access Management Oversight

  • Establish and govern access management policies, ensuring appropriate role-based access control, permissions, and security protocols are in place to protect sensitive data and applications. Collaborate with compliance teams to meet regulatory standards


Performance Optimization Management

  • Lead performance monitoring initiatives, utilizing advanced analytics and tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify system inefficiencies, and drive continuous optimization efforts across applications


Security and Risk Governance

  • Develop and enforce robust security frameworks, ensuring applications are protected from cybersecurity threats through proactive risk assessments, security audits, and compliance with organizational and regulatory policies


Escalation Management and Governance

  • Oversee incident response and escalation management, ensuring technical support teams provide timely and effective resolutions to minimize system downtime and business impact


Updates and Upgrades Oversight

  • Oversee and provide strategic direction and high-level timeline and resource allocation in planning, coordinating, and executing application updates, patches, and upgrades, to ensure that these activities are carried out efficiently and seamlessly, minimizing disruptions to daily business operations.


Deep and Knowledge Management Leadership

  • Provide guidance in maintaining and enhancing the quality of documentation related to application configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides, to ensure all documentation is updated and compliant with regulatory standards and serving as a valuable resource for knowledge sharing within the team.


Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 10 years or more of experience in IT system management
  • Expertise in software engineering principles and familiarity with application management tools; strategic knowledge of cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is preferred
  • Deep understanding of applications security framework and governance to safeguard applications and data
  • Strong analytical acumen and the ability to lead teams to resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently
  • Exceptional verbal and stakeholder management skills to interact with influence, collaborate, and coordinate effectively with internal teams, senior management, and external partners
  • Japanese proficiency preferred to communicate with stakeholders based in Head Office (Tokyo)
  • Strong organizational commitment and drive to achieve
