About Job:

• Preparation and checking of Telecom documents- Telecom data sheets and specification, Telecom System modification scope of work, Telecom Design basis, Telecom equipment index,
• Engineering design of Optical Link Loss Budget Calculation for Fiber optic networks, (Backbone cabling networks, Engineering design of CCTV Storage Calculation
• Review and checking of Telecom drawings-Telecom cable block diagram, Overall Telecom Architecture diagram Schematic wiring diagram, Interconnection diagram, Telecom Cable schedule, Telecom equipment Location layout drawing, Telecom room equipment Layout drawing, MCT drawing, Telecom Cable routing and trench layout drawings, Bill Of Materials, Telecom Earthing Diagram,
• Inputs to deliverables by various other departments-Input to design basis memorandum, Input to Material requisition for equipment, Input to Telecom room layout, Input to Cable Trench layout, Input to offshore oil production platform layouts, Input to offshore platform structural weight control report, Input to Electrical power load and heat load calculation, Input to Fire & Gas Philosophy, Input to overall operational narrative and control philosophy.
• Inter-discipline review of deliverables from other departments- Plot plan, Piping GA drawings, Equipment layouts, Electrical single line diagrams, HVAC duct layouts, Hazardous area classification drawings, Review of F&G Layout drawings
• Procurement assistance- Preparation of Material Requisition and Technical Bid Evaluation for Telecom equipment and systems
• Vendor drawing review for Telecom equipment and systems, equipment packages (containers)
• Data retrieval, Site survey (Offshore & Onshore) & site survey reports generation • Participation to risk reviews like Hazid
• Input to AVEVA and report generation
• Proposal activities-Review of project scope, Technical clarification, prepare list of activities and deliverables required, estimation of man-hours, preparation of method statement, Scope split matrix with EPIC Contractor, Scope of work for Third party services.
• Response to Site technical queries, Site commissioning Support
• Secondment to Client office (If required)

Experience

• 10-15 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas projects, Offshore, onshore, Brownfield and Green Field projects.
• Feasibility study, FEED, Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering with Reputed detailed Engineering contractor (MNC’s)
• Selection of equipment for Hazardous area application
• Offshore special Telecom- Sub-sea Umbilical cable, Interface with Instrument systems like RTU, SCADA, ICSS
• Design engineering and specification of Telecom Systems Radio systems UHF, VHF, TETRA, OTN, FOC, Microwave radio
• Design engineering and specification of Process and security systems- ELV, CCTV, PAGA, ACS Systems
• Design of Structured Cabling System, Local Area Network, Voice and Data System, IP network elements, Telephone, Hotline & Intercom systems
• International standards applicable for Telecommunication like BS, IEC, IEEE, ISO, TIA, EIA
• Familiarization of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHAS
• Familiarization with Client standards-SHELL DEP, Qatar Energy, Total Energies, QATARGAS, NOC, DEL

Responsibilities

• Reports hierarchically to the Head of Discipline and functionally to the Principal/Lead Discipline Engineer for the specific project(s) and is responsible for
• To lead a team of Engineers and designers for the assigned project. To lead Multiple projects
• Quality assurance- To follow the quality procedures to ensure the required quality of the deliverables
• Cost optimization- Monitor and control the engineering cost, procurement cost and installation-related cost during engineering.
• Schedule compliance- To continuously monitor, and plan adhere to the project schedule.
• Review of contract documents and raise technical queries to resolve conflicts.
• Prepare Discipline schedule and review of project schedule.
• Prepare the Deliverables list and review of Master Document register.
• Weekly input to the Document Control Register to update the progress on time.
• Regular liaison with Client to minimize the review cycle and
• Input to weekly progress reports and maintain manhour log.
• Performance of a specific task on a project or proposal as defined by Lead Discipline Engineer
• Management, maintenance and control of documents and data required for the smooth execution of the job
• Definition of tasks and supervision of personnel such as designers and draftsmen assigned to the team, including checking of drawings produced.
• Checking and commenting on drawings and documents issued by other disciplines as well as Vendor drawings wherever applicable.
• Reporting main developments and results of tasks performed (including items leading to ICN)
• Participation in meeting with Client, Vendors, Subcontractors etc.
• Undergo technical and other training required to carryout the job

Nice to have

• Knowledge and hands-on experience of PAGA Noise Coverage Study, i.e. CADNA software or universal standards or equivalent.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience of Radio Coverage Study using- Path Loss or equivalent.
• Knowledge on Cyber Security engineering design and application to Operation and Information technologies (OT and IT)
• CISCO CCNA/CCNP certification (Preferred)
• 3D Review (Preferred)
• MMUP, Doha Qatar engineering license certification (Preferred)

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent.
