Join a tech for good start-up who are transforming the navigation sector to make it more accessible to certain disabilities such as visual impairment. The company has a innovative, high-technology approach to navigations and people needs and their product has successfully been launched in Europe, America, and Asia.

The client are seeking a skilled mobile application developer with expertise in SDK development and architectures, dedicated to building cutting-edge, accessible applications. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android apps and SDKs that prioritize both user experience and developer engagement.

The successful Android Mobile Application Engineer will become a pivotal part of tech team and be responsible for end-to-end development of android applications and services on Android platform. Although this role is bias towards Android development, iOS exposure would be benefical.

The ideal skillset of the Senior Android Developer

• Significant architectural and SDK design and development experience will be essential for this role
• Strong experience developing mobile applications on Android platform with a demonstrable portfolio working with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Understanding of Java and Object-Oriented programming
• Strong understanding of XML and HTML for UI design and layout purposes
• Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools for automated build processes

Interview Process (all conducted via teams):

1. Meeting the CTO of the business to discuss the role in more detail (45 minutes)
2. Interview with the Tech Lead talking through an application / architectual design (60 minutes)
3. Final where you'll meet one of the executive team (20minutes)
