Java Developer – Permanent Position – Java, DevOps, Data Service, Productivity Service, IaC, Kubernetes, Infrastructure – Hybrid/ Remote

A large global organisation is looking for a Java Developer with DevOps, Data Service, and Productivity Service expertise to assist with the development and deployment of Java-based applications and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have experience with Java development, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

This will be a hybrid-remote position, requiring 2-3 days a week on-site in Geneva.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in Java application development (including Spring, Hibernate, and REST services).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in SQL, Oracle DBMS, Tomcat, Git, and Maven.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and active participation in Scrum ceremonies.
• Familiarity with Puppet, Bamboo, and Jira.
• Experience in the Wealth Management or banking industry is a plus.
• Mandatory Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken).
• Must be a resident of Switzerland or willing to relocate

Responsibilities:

• Java Development: Design, implement, and maintain Java-based applications in Kubernetes environments. Develop functional and technical specifications using Agile methodologies.
• DevOps Practices: Automate deployments and ensure system reliability using CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure Management: Deploy and manage infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, improving scalability and security.
• Production Support: Monitor system performance, analyse incidents, provide root cause analysis, and offer first-level support when needed.
• Testing & UAT: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate on improving software architecture, development processes, and integration practices.
