Software Engineer - Front End Development - Python - JavaScript - Vienna

This is an excellent opportunity for an English speaking, highly motivated, Software Engineer to join an established innovation team and utilise their Software Development skills.

You will have 3+ years experience in Front-End Development (JavaScript frameworks), Node.js, Python and basic understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for prototyping and developing innovative data analytics solutions, that require integrating AI/ML components, as well as processing and visualizing a variety of data sources.

This permanent role is based on-site, so you will need to be able to easily commute to Vienna Monday through to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product managers, to further improve existing products while also prototyping new solutions
• Utilize expertise in front-end-development (e.g. Vue.js, React.js) and user experience design (UX)
• Use Python to process and explore data of different types and integrate AI/ML components
• Leverage your experience in backend-development (e.g. Node.js) and common database technologies (e.g. SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
• Participate in code reviews, bug tracking, and other quality assurance activities to ensure that software meets high standards of quality and reliability
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of software development, AI/ML and Generative AI, and share that knowledge with the team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in front-end development (e.g. Vue.js, React.js) and in Python programming
• Knowledge in backend development with Node.js and common database technologies (e.g. SQL Server, Elasticsearch, MongoDB)
• Experience with software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• English communication and collaboration skills
• German speaking beneficial but not essential
