Job Description

As a Senior Back-End Software Engineer, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for ICT systems related to policy (mobility and property) and claims management. Your role will contribute to implementing strategic initiatives, ensuring a seamless end-to-end experience for customers in their insurance journey.

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in COBOL (EGL) development in a mainframe environment.
• Ability to design and develop backend solutions based on functional and technical specifications.
• Experience in integration testing for interfacing applications.
• Strong debugging and incident resolution skills.
• Exposure to insurance domain and banking environments is preferred.

• Ability to comprehend functional designs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Experience in SAFe Agile frameworks with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Capability to make informed decisions and challenge stakeholders when necessary.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Experience with Mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, DB2, Unix)
• Background in banking/finance projects, such as Discover Cards US or Bank of America
• Proficient in Agile and incident management
