Location: Belgium (Hybrid)

Duration: 10 months

Daily Rate: between: 375-425€ exclusive of VAT

Our client, a public sector institution, is seeking a Freelance Junior Data Analyst to support data exchange processes within the organization. The role involves analyzing, modeling, and optimizing data flows while ensuring alignment with business and technical standards.

• Analyze and model data flows between producer and consumer applications.
• Gather and document user requirements.
• Create AS-IS models and propose TO-BE models based on business needs and industry standards.
• Formalize analysis reports for development teams.
• Present analysis results to clients, technical teams, and stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to data flow mapping.
• Maintain and update documentation and project progress reports.
• Support operational processes during working hours.
• Advocate for integration principles within the organization and with external partners.
• Participate in testing and quality assurance processes for data flows.
• Promote continuous improvement in data processes, tools, and workflows.
  

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of UML modeling (class diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, use cases).
• Experience with data analysis tools (MS Excel, Power Query, SQL).
• Understanding of Domain-Driven Design.
• Familiarity with data transfer protocols (HTTP, FTP, etc.).
• Proficiency in XML, XSD, JSON, and data transformation techniques.
• General knowledge of SOA, queuing systems, and web services (SOAP/REST).
• Experience with development tools (Git, Visual Studio).

Functional & Soft Skills:

• Fluency in English and French or Dutch
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Understanding of business processes and IT systems.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Ability to work autonomously and document findings effectively.
