Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for an Embedded Software Developer to join our SW development team at ABB Oy, Drives unit. We are working in office/remote hybrid model, team members are located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki.

You will be a member of a scrum team that maintains, develops and implements embedded software for our products. Your main task is to develop real time software using C/C++ language. You will be working extensively with different communication protocols such as ProfiNET. The development work is done in close cooperation with our SW testing team.


Qualifications For The Role

• Fluent C, C++ and Python usage
• Experience with embedded SW development and SW testing
• Experience with fieldbus protocols
• Knowledge on Automation systems/electronics design/FPGA design is a benefit
• Willingness to do teamwork and own initiative when starting team tasks, e.g. pull requests
• Courage to ask questions & help when encountering a problem beyond own skills
• Finnish language skill is a benefit, but not mandatory
