About the Role

As a Cyber Security Program Intern at Oeson Learning, you will embark on an intensive three-month training and internship program designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of Cyber Security. This role is perfect for individuals who are eager to learn about ethical hacking, network security, penetration testing, and threat analysis while working on real-world security projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on training covering essential Cyber Security concepts.
• Work alongside industry experts on real-time security assessments, gaining practical experience in network security, penetration testing, and incident response.
• Apply your learning in parallel with an internship, where you will analyze security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Gain experience with ethical hacking tools such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, Wireshark, and Burp Suite.
• Learn to identify, analyze, and mitigate security threats in real-world environments.
• Collaborate with peers and mentors to develop security solutions and best practices.
• Receive continuous feedback and support to refine your expertise in risk assessment and security implementation.

What You Will Learn

• Cyber Security Fundamentals: Understanding security principles, risk management, and compliance.
• Ethical Hacking & Penetration Testing: Hands-on training in vulnerability scanning, exploit techniques, and security testing.
• Network Security: Learning about firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and encryption techniques.
• Web Application Security: Identifying SQL injections, cross-site scripting (XSS), and other common vulnerabilities.
• Security Tools & Frameworks: Working with Kali Linux, Metasploit, Wireshark, Nmap, and more.
• Incident Response & Forensics: Investigating cyber incidents and learning how to respond to security breaches.

Requirements

• Strong interest in Cyber Security, Ethical Hacking, and Network Security.
• Eager to learn and take on challenges, no prior experience required.
• Basic understanding of Linux, Networking, or Programming (Python, Bash, etc.) is a plus (but not mandatory).
• Enthusiastic about gaining hands-on experience and working on real-world security projects.
