Java Software Engineer

If you are a native Norwegian speaker with at least 5 years of experience in Java development, have worked with Kubernetes and microservices, and have additional experience in Kotlin, React, or TypeScript, we want to hear from you!

Your Role:

As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our core products. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design scalable, high-performance software solutions that serve thousands of users. You will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable code, optimizing performance, and ensuring our product remains at the forefront of innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java-based applications.
• Work with Kubernetes and microservices architecture to ensure scalable and efficient deployment.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to integrate solutions using React and TypeScript (if applicable).
• Contribute to the modernization of our codebase, including migration to Kotlin where relevant.
• Optimize performance and scalability of applications to meet business and user needs.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code, following best practices and industry standards.
• Participate in architecture and system design discussions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring high system reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and contribute to technical discussions.

What We're Looking For:

• Native Norwegian speaker (fluent in both written and spoken Norwegian).
• Minimum 5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Experience working with Kubernetes and/or microservices architecture.
• Experience with Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Kotlin, React, or TypeScript is a plus.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
