JOB ROLE & DUTIES

  • Creation of physical and virtual servers on Enterprise hardware and Windows Virtualization.
  • Expertise in Windows Virtualization 4.x with experience in planning, implementation, installing, migration, upgrade of Host hypervisors and manager.
  • Good Experience of different UNIX flavors like RedHat Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian and Oracle Linux and Windows.
  • Understanding the business requirements, capacity planning, Vendor management, team co-ordination, business analysis and consultation to meet end user requirements.
  • Working on 3 tier application model of Web, App and DB servers to enhance the productivity and security of the system and reduce the downtime in event of failure.
  • Maintaining system documentation, including diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures, system inventory and work instructions.
  • Working on backup tool like Acronis Cyber backup to maintain the RPO and RTO standards of the organization to minimum time and minimum loss of data.
  • Extensive experience on Logical Volume manager and working on different filesystem like ext4, xfs and nfs creation and management.
  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting operating systems, virtualization and services related issues and request at second and third level support.
  • Administration of User Accounts, adding/removing users and groups, allocating resources to users and customizing user's environment as per the requirement.
  • Hardening Servers to meet the security requirement as per Customer Policy. Work on DMZ zone servers with limited access to end users.
  • Experience of PAM to login via a centralized tool for all the servers.

Qualification And Experience

  • Windows Certified Engineers with 7 years of experience working in critical high availability environment is a must.
  • Ability to work in a critical 24x7 environment and always available to support.
  • DLP Dell synergy and HP 3PAR 7200 and HP 3PAR 8200 storage and SAN switch management, assigning and decommissioning of LUNS for dedicated and shared storage across Host clusters.
  • Experience in Infrastructure Operations, architecture, deployment and management of On-Premises data center and Private and Public cloud VDC.
  • Application support on critical applications like Single Sign On, Type Approval, CRM, IVR and Oracle EBS.
  • Monitoring the infrastructure with Zabbix monitoring tool and working to reduce the overall downtime of servers.
