Honeywell Connected Enterprise is looking for a Software Engineer/Developer to work in the Aerospace SATCOM Cockpit Team in Ottawa. The SATCOM Cockpit Team specializes in aircraft satellite communications and related products, meeting significant challenges while pushing the limits of satellite communications. Design and develop C/C++ embedded software

Participation in code reviews and providing suggestions for improvement in software quality

Design and develop unit tests, regression tests, and component tests

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science;
  • One year academic or work experience in a software team structure;

WE VALUE

  • Experience in Linux development environment;
  • Experience with C/C++ embedded software development;
  • Knowledge of network protocol design and development;
  • Knowledge of security protocols and software;
  • Value experience with Object Oriented design;
  • Satellite or wireless communication knowledge is an advantage;
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum) is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of FAA regulated DAL software development practices is an asset;
