Job Summary:

Our client is looking for a Network Specialist cum System Engineer to enhance and maintain the network performance service by designing and overseeing the IT Infrastructure and Communication Systems.


The successful candidate will involve in planning, requirement analysis, technical assessment, incident handling, project management, deployment and operations management of the IT infrastructure.


Mandatory Skill-Set:


  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or Information Technology;
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in managing IT network operations in implementing IT infrastructure projects for LAN and WAN environments and providing 24x7 support, including service recovery and problem management;
  • Proficient in installing and configuring various network technologies such as LAN, WAN, VoIP, WiFi, wireless controllers, access points, firewalls, security gateways, VPNs, 802.1x protocol, VLANs, and L2/3 switches;
  • Strong vendor management skills are required.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS,VPNs, and routing protocols;
  • Good knowledge on network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and encryption technologies;
  • Experience working on network plans, LAN design, configuration, installation, implementation and deployment of network infrastructure;
  • Hands-on experience with patching, firmware upgrades, and mitigating network vulnerabilities;
  • Hands on experience managing the IT infrastructures and security services in the public cloud and on-premises;
  • Experience with project management methodologies to oversee network deployments, upgrades, and expansions;
  • Proficient in risk mitigation, impact assessment, and ensuring continuity of IT services;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of working both independently and within a team.


Desired Skill-set:


  • Professional and technical certifications that include CCIE, CCNA, CCDP, CCNP, ITIL, PMP, CITPM, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage network operations, incident response, maintenance, compliance, and system renewals for both wired and wireless IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and support uninterrupted operations;
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incident handling, providing impact assessments and coordinating appropriate responses to resolve issues swiftly;
  • Support the strategic planning and development of technical roadmaps, encompassing maintenance contracts, technology refresh cycles, and implementation strategies;
  • Work in close collaboration with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external, to formulate comprehensive business cases for new projects;
  • Work closely with vendors to develop and implement mitigation strategies, assisting in root cause investigations and ensuring prompt resolution of issues;
  • Work with internal technical teams and external vendors to evaluate, propose, and review technical solutions, defining key performance indicators to measure project success;
  • Proactively detect and report signs of abnormalities, ensuring that corrective actions, recovery plans, and preventive measures are implemented for each reported incident;
  • Maximize network performance through continuous monitoring and effective troubleshooting, ensuring the network operates at peak efficiency;
  • Perform meticulous project and change management practices, ensuring that delivered solutions consistently meet all technical, functional, performance, and business requirements;
  • Lead and oversee 24/7 IT operations, encompassing incident handling, maintenance procedures, compliance adherence, and infrastructure renewal, to maintain seamless operations;
  • Manage the operational performance of IT infrastructure systems, including wired and wireless networks, to ensure optimal operational effectiveness and efficiency;
  • Deliver regular network status reports to key stakeholders, providing visibility into system health and ongoing improvements;
  • Conduct thorough reviews and enhancements of business and IT processes, as part of a continuous improvement initiative to drive operational excellence.
