About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager, Digital Health for overseeing the successful delivery of a Digital Health solution. This role involves managing and coordinating the deployment of the application for health service providers.


The Project Manager will ensure key milestones, timelines, and quality standards are met while managing risks and stakeholder expectations. They will also be responsible for ensuring the project remains on track, within scope, and aligned with overall program objectives.



Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the delivery stream of a Digital Health program by establishing and managing a delivery team to plan and coordinate all aspects of the implementation for each service provider.
  • Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communication, ensuring key internal and external stakeholders are regularly updated on progress and any issues or risks.
  • Oversee resource allocation, vendor management, and coordination with technical teams.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies to avoid delays.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and procedures.




Experience:

Leadership and Management:

  • Ability to strategically and tactically lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring team alignment and accountability.
  • Provide clear direction and make informed, timely decisions under pressure.

Project Management:

  • Develop and manage the plan for delivering a Digital Health platform to service providers.
  • Oversee data migration plans, ensuring all tasks are completed within scope, on time, and within budget.
  • Identify potential risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the progress of the project.
  • Set realistic timelines and manage stakeholder expectations.

Problem Solving:

  • Break down complex problems into manageable parts and identify root causes.
  • Develop innovative solutions to overcome obstacles.
  • Make informed decisions quickly to keep projects on track.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to develop effective solutions.
  • Apply lessons from past experiences to improve future project outcomes.

Adaptability:

  • Be open to change and able to adjust plans and strategies as needed.
  • Maintain resilience and a positive attitude despite setbacks.
  • Quickly learn new skills or knowledge to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks first.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in program/project management within health IT, government, or large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills for problem-solving and innovation.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders, manage risk, and ensure project objectives and deliverables are met.



Additional Requirements:

  • The role may require liaising with stakeholders in regional and rural Victoria, including face-to-face interactions.
  • A full driver’s license valid in Australia is highly desirable.
  • A personal vehicle is desirable (work-related travel expenses are reimbursed).
  • Willingness to travel to regional and rural locations within Victoria.



Safety Screening:

  • All applicants are subject to a National Police History Check.
  • Applicants who have lived overseas for 12 months or longer in the past 10 years must provide the results of an international police check.
