Internship - Pentester / SOC Analyst

Within this Proximus’ newly created center of excellence for AI and Cybersecurity, the mission of the Security Management and CSIRT teams is to protect Proximus, its customers, its business, its operations and reputation against external and internal threats. You will be fascinated by a highly dynamic environment, the strong collaboration and some deep technical aspects.

The Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) is responsible for all phases of the cyber security incident management process, including monitoring, detection, and incident response activities.

What can you expect from this internship?

• You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced analysts and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of cyber security.
• You will be assigned to the CSIRT team and shadow CSIRT analysists. The CSIRT analyst will go through the different monitoring tasks, tools, and processes together with the intern.
• After learning the tools and ticketing system, the CSIRT analyst will train the intern via entry-level monitoring assignments. The analyst will provide continued guidance and mentoring to the intern during the assignment.
• You will be assigned a personal project for which they are responsible. The project will be defined together with the intern and will align with the intern’s personal interests.
• You will take part CSIRT’s weekly team meeting.
  
  

Qualifications

• Candidates must be working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security Cyber Security, or Computer Forensics.
• Candidates with deep knowledge in IT and cyber security but without a university degree will also be considered for the position.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Expected length of internship: 3 months
• Candidates must be fluent or advanced in English (written and spoken).
