Overview of the Position
Our client, a leader in cutting-edge technology solutions, is seeking an experienced full-stack developer with a strong interest in generative AI. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a developer who is either already skilled in generative AI or eager to develop expertise in this area. For those new to generative AI, our client provides resources and support to quickly bring you up to speed with current technologies and best practices.
In this role, you’ll work closely with their engineering team on new generative AI-driven products, technologies, and client-focused projects.
The position is primarily remote within EU time zones, with opportunities for occasional in-person interactions during company retreats. Their offices in Turku and Helsinki are also available for those who prefer a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a dynamic team to write high-performance, maintainable code.
- Design and build innovative machine learning and generative AI systems to solve unique challenges across multiple industries.
- Develop scalable ML engineering solutions, focusing on generative AI applications.
- Build and integrate external APIs (Swagger/OpenAPI/GraphQL), adhering to industry best practices.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Apply prompt engineering techniques to fine-tune and enhance large language models (LLMs) for specific applications.
- Experiment with emerging technologies, develop internal prototypes, and actively contribute to new generative AI research and solutions.
- Stay informed of industry advancements, applying cutting-edge knowledge to client projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Go, or TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of best practices in software engineering, including version control (Git), code reviews, and testing.
- Experience with programming frameworks like React, Next.js, or Node.js.
- Background in developing data-intensive applications and infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration in a remote-first environment.
- Quick adaptability to new technologies and frameworks.
- A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for continuous learning, particularly in generative AI.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques, LangChain, OpenAI SDK, and vector databases is advantageous.
- Interest or experience in cloud-based AI tools (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
