Python Developer – Contract roles x4

Stelfox has partnered with one of the largest financial institutions in the world, which offers a comprehensive range of banking, investing, asset management, and financial risk management products and services for individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and large corporations. They are seeking four Senior Python Developers to join their team for both existing and new projects.

Role:

You will be responsible for designing and developing web-based Python solutions to address complex business challenges. You will collaborate closely with business users, business analysts, and fellow developers to create top-tier risk management solutions. As part of a global team, the company utilizes a diverse range of technologies. They operate in an Agile environment and are continuously looking to improve their processes, placing a strong emphasis on exploring new technologies. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right developer to advance their career within a rapidly growing team.

It is a 6-month rolling and long-term contract, with contractors required to be based in Ireland for the duration. The working model is hybrid, with three days on-site and two days remote each week (non-negotiable).

Core Skills Required:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Python Developer
• In-depth understanding of the Python software development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks, and tools.
• Experience in writing clean, efficient and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.
• Strong experience in relational database/SQL experience
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible
• Excellent problem-solving ability with solid communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong Linux/UNIX experience
• Experience with popular Python frameworks such as Flask and Django
• Experience building RESTful web APIs
