Gimel ID is a new global identity network. It builds on DNA Sequencing and Web3 technology to facilitate a global Proof of Personhood (PoP). Gimel ID allows individuals to prove they are really a human and which one, and that they are not an AI bot. The attached financial network of Gimel ID aligns the incentives of all network participants around the growth of the Gimel ID.

Gimel ID is a new venture by the Digital Supply Institute (DSI), currently in its seed phase. The DSI, located in the Cologne-Bonn Region, is dedicated to developing "Digital Ventures for Humanity" by focusing on Human AI. This vision is our North Star.

Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role for the Chief Web3 Officer (CWO) and Co-founder at Gimel ID with the flexibility for remote work. The CWO will be responsible for tasks related to the management of the blockchain network supporting the Gimel ID. Based on our product development activities, the CWO will help to design the end-to-end procedure of setting up and issuing Gimel ID and its benefits, considering regulatory requirements. Together with the Gimel ID team, the role aims at specifying the final, ready-to-scale and compliant design of both the Gimel Cloud as well as the Gimel Wallet, leveraging web3 technology.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript and Solidity
• Deep understanding of blockchain technology and consensus mechanisms associated
• Street credits in web3 projects, including its architecture, nodes, and APIs
• Familiarity with the legal considerations and regulations surrounding web3 benefits in your jurisdiction
• Knowledge of cybersecurity to ensure the safety and integrity of services
• Interdisciplinary project management skills, from conception to launch including defining objectives, planning and execution
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ideally, 3 - 5 years working experience
• Entrepreneurial mindset and the willingness to put "skin in the game"
