Application Support Engineer

Title: L3 Support Engineer

Location: Remote from Ireland but requires travel to Limerick area

Duration: Six-month B2B or Umbrella (Contract to hire)

Overview:

A Fortune 500 Company is looking for a level three engineer based in Ireland to support our Asset Records product. The engineer will work remotely but will be asked to travel several times a year within the region to support critical customers. The candidate will collaborate with other members of the team around the world (US, Mexico, Turkey, Ireland) to provide world class support for our customers in the region.

Operations Environment:

Must have basic level knowledge for ITIL

SDLC Processes Application Operations Management.

Technical Expertise:

Strong proficiency in SQL (T-SQL preferred)

Familiar to containerization technologies with Kubernetes.

Terraform knowledge is a plus.

Systems Knowledge:

Experience with Windows/Unix Systems and SQL Server/PostGre SQL Server.

Windows Server IIS Architecture knowledge is a plus.

Cloud Services: Familiarity with cloud platforms (MS Azure preferred)

Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools like New Relic, Grafana, DynaTrace or Zabbix (New Relic preferred)

DevOps Practices: Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines on MS Azure DevOps Platform

Scripting Languages:

Ability to write scripts in languages such as Powershell.

Understand Yaml and JSON structure and ability to read.

Bash or Ruby scripting is a plus.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Should have been used at least one of ticketing system Freshdesk, Jira, Maximo or similar.

Deployments:

Need to manage Production Deployments, Hotfixes and Project Roll-outs.

Should have experience least with one of tools such as Octopus, Jenkins, Bamboo or similar.

Experience in coding technologies .net/.netCore, Kotlin and Angular is a plus

Experience in Microsoft SSRS, PowerBI tools is a plus.
