Where do you want to go?

This position participates in the software development effort for CT Contrast Injector projects at Bayer’s Rydalmere R&D facility. The main task is the design and development of software for Bayer Medrad CT Contrast Injector products targeted for global markets, however, as a senior role, the position requires involvement in all software engineering activities carried out by the team including participating or planning design reviews, code reviews, system documentation etc. as well as ensuring the software complies with medical device software regulatory standards and Bayer quality standards as per Bayer's Product Development Process.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

• Provides software development expertise for Centargo CT Contrast Injector and other products.
• Follows medical device software development processes
• Improves processes to enable more effective or efficient accomplishment of individual and team objectives.
• Leads design reviews at the project level.
• Independently plans and manages own work activities to department objectives.
• Proactively provides technical consulting, leadership and advice to peers and program management.
• Mentors junior members of the team
• Demonstrates skill for independent analysis and synthesis of solutions for problems, exhibiting creativity, foresight, innovation and judgment in anticipating and solving these problems.
  
  

Does this sound like you?

• A minimum of a bachelors degree in a relevant discipline combined with substantial proven hands on work experience in the field.
• Expert knowledge within the software engineering technical discipline
• Expert level of coding skills in C, C++ and Python
• Extensive knowledge and experience of object- oriented design
• Working knowledge and skills in software development tools - version control, issue management and CI/CD processes
• Able to consistency apply complex analytical methods
• Strong focus on achieving goals within set timelines
• Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written form
• Good PC skills in MS Office applications
